From 27 May to 1 June, days of Armenian culture are held in Moscow, the Russian capital. The events were organized by the NGO "Armenian Assembly" with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Russia and the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Russia and Nor Nakhichevan.
The Grand opening of the days of Armenian culture took place in the concert hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the great Armenian composer Tigran Mansuryan. The concert was attended by the Tula state choir under the leadership of Al. Soloviev, Chamber orchestra "Musica Viva" under the direction of Al. Rudina, as well as a number of famous Armenian and Russian musicians. The concert was attended by many guests, businessmen and cultural figures. Among the events organized within the framework of the Days of Armenian culture in Moscow: summing up the results of the "Armenian Assembly" 2018-2019 and discussion of long-term programs for 2019-2020, the launch of a major gastronomic event gourmet fest, the creation of regional educational centers and other initiatives.
Of the above-mentioned events is particularly important gastronomic event gourmet fest, which aims to ensure the recognition of Armenian cuisine in the world. For the first time, the joint work of famous Armenian chefs working in Armenia and abroad will create a special menu based on a harmonious and professional combination of Armenian traditional and European cuisine.
The closing ceremony of the events dedicated to the days of Armenian culture will be held on 1 June at the State Tretyakov gallery, dedicated to the International children's day. Cartoons of Armenian animators based on Hovhannes Tumanyan's fairy tales, organized by the Armenian Embassy in Russia, will be presented.
The days of Armenian culture in Moscow are aimed to becoming a platform for strengthening ties between Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora, strengthening the reputation of Armenia, preserving national identity, developing the ancient language and centuries-old culture.
