JENGYALOV HAC FESTIVAL IN ARTSAKH

Jengyalov Hac is considered one of the most delicious and most popular dishes of Artsakh cuisine. It is a type of flatbread stuffed with finely diced herbs. About 10-20 herbs are used for making it. Preparation of Jengyalov bread is such an interesting ritual that even festive events are dedicated to it.

On 11 May, 2019 the second Jengyalov Hac festival will be held in the village of Haterk оf the Martakert region in Artsakh. Participants will be present at the baking ceremony of the tastiest and largest Jengyalov Hac. The degustation will be organized, as well as the sale, which will promote the development of the Haterk village and solve a number of problems. During the festival singers from Armenia will perform, as well as cultural and leisure activities and various games will be organized. The organizers inform that 12,000-15,000 visitors are expected to attend the Festival.
