Yerevan Zoo is committed to the preservation of animals, handling reproduction process of rare and endangered species, research, prevention of diseases and dissemination of environmental knowledge. In cages or fenced areas of Yerevan Zoo are kept around 183 species of animals and birds, out of which 34 are listed in the IUCN Red Book and 50 in the Red Book of RA.
In Yerevan Zoon there are birds like eagle, golden pheasant, peacock and white, from mammals - lemur feline, panther, mouflon, gray wolf, etc., and from reptiles - the viper, cobra, turtles, crocodiles and more. There is free Wi-Fi in the Zoo, on the fences and cages cameras are installed and there are QR code-enabled information kiosks.
