Your journey begins with a visit to Sevanavank Monastery, located near the mesmerizing Lake Sevan. Originally built on a small island, the monastery was founded by Princess Mariam in the 9th century in honor of her late husband. Lake Sevan, just an hour away from Yerevan, is one of Armenia’s most beautiful natural wonders, surrounded by majestic mountains. This sacred site was also home to Amenaprkich (All Saviors) and the famous Armenian Khachkars (cross-stones).
Next, you will travel to Haghartsin Monastery, a peaceful retreat hidden in the forests of Dilijan National Park. Built between the 10th and 13th centuries, this monastery is an excellent place to experience Armenia’s rich spiritual and architectural heritage. The tranquil surroundings make it an ideal spot for reflection and relaxation.
After visiting Haghartsin, you will take a short walking tour along the oldest street in Dilijan, where you will see the famous Monument of Mimino. This charming town is often referred to as "Armenia’s Switzerland" due to its picturesque scenery and unique atmosphere.
Your journey continues to Ijevan Winery, where you will enjoy a delightful wine and brandy tasting experience. Discover Armenia’s rich winemaking traditions while sampling some of the finest local wines.
